Nestled in between the San Francisco Bay and the lush green stretch of Tilden Nature Area, El Cerrito is a suburban village founded by refugees following the 1906 earthquake. The residential community is simmering with fun and relaxing things to do, from getting a breath of fresh air under the California sky at one of the regional parks to perusing the stores at the vast, luxury shopping mall. With two BART stations parked in town, it’s easy to jet off to the surrounding areas for a big game or event, but there’s plenty right in town to eat, do, and see. A pleasant and comfortable place to live, El Cerrito is a wonderful place to call home.
